Exhibitionists
According to Webster, exhibition is defined as: an act or instance of exhibiting, also a demonstration, a performance, a presentation, a production.
So, one might think it could be logically assumed an exhibitionist is one who demonstrates or performs or presents or produces or exhibits.
But no! The English language is too tricky to let you get away with such a reasonable assumption! To those folks back in the day, and as well as today, an exhibitionist is a very rude person who behaves in an extravagant way in order to attract attention. But, of course, most often it’s used to describe a person with a compulsion to display their genitals or other intimate body parts.
But I won’t let that worry me. Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!
